Stayed for two night. The staff were so helpful and went totally out of their way for us, contacting the bus company to ensure we were picked up. We stayed in a room for three and it was great with a lounge room and bedroom. Beds are firm and pillows flat (very Vietnamese) in easy walking distance to river, markets, lots of places to eat

Delicious food and a wonderful experience. After travelling through Vietnam, this was a brilliant place to end our journey before travelling to Cambodia. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with special thanks to Lâm Sơn Phương. They even arranged a delicious Vietnamese coffee and breakfast for us to take for our early journey. Highly recommended!

We’ve had such a lovely meal tonight. Nhan was super helpful and went over and above with helping us all. Delicious Vietnamese prawn curry. Lovely meal and atmosphere

The hotel has definitely seen better days, though no one seems to remember when exactly that was. Calling it “classic” would be generous; “old and tired” is far more accurate. A full renovation isn’t just recommended, it’s begging to happen. If you’re looking to sleep, good luck. There’s a bar right across the street blasting music late into the night, and it feels like the party’s happening right in your room. Earplugs won’t help much unless they come with noise‑canceling windows. Breakfast is… let’s say functional. Coffee and tea come from those big metal thermoses that have seen more mornings than most guests, and they taste exactly like you’d imagine, slightly nostalgic, mostly forgettable. But hey, at least it’s hot. Overall, it might have potential if someone invested in fresh paint, proper soundproofing, and maybe a reality check. Until then, it’s more of a museum of what hotels used to be, just louder.

This hotel is from another era. It’s old and tired. Across the street there is bar that start blaring loud music at 5pm-10pm. There is no escape from this noise. Not in the room: the windows don’t close properly and are very thin. In the restaurant downstairs you can hardly hear each other due to the noise from the other side of the street. Mattresses are made out of concrete. The only good thing about the hotel is quality of the food at night.

I had a pleasant stay at Chau Pho Hotel. The hotel is centrally located, making it very convenient to reach the speedboat terminal for Phnom Penh. The building has a nice semi-classical style, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. I also appreciated that breakfast starts at 5:45 a.m., which is perfect for guests catching an early boat to Cambodia. Overall, it’s a great choice when visiting Chau Doc.

Our honeymoon trip to the Mekong Delta was unforgettable, largely thanks to Chau Pho Hotel. It is easily the best hotel in Chau Doc! The location is perfect, making it incredibly easy to walk to the local market and explore the nearby temples. Our room was spotlessly clean, very quiet, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable for a great night’s sleep. What truly stands out is the staff—their warm hospitality and helpful tour advice made us feel so special. The delicious breakfast was the perfect bonus. We highly recommend this wonderful gem for anyone looking for a perfect vacation.
